If you open the LABS Plugin in your DAW and see the old interface, likely along with an Error #2 if you've installed new libraries, then you'll need to remove the old plugin manually from your plugins folder.
On Windows that is located in C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 and C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins. You'll need to remove the "LABS.vst3" and "LABS.dll" files.
What should remain is the VST3\Spitfire Audio\LABS.vst3 file as this is the new plugin. If you do delete it accidentally please reinstall the latest version: LABS Plugin Download
You may find that removing these folders alone isn't enough, as your plugin files have been installed to an alternate location. Below are some other potential locations to look for the "LABS(64-bit).dll" or "LABS.dll" files:
- C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST2
- C:\Program Files\VST Plugins
- C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VST Plugins
- C:\Program Files\Common Files\Steinberg\VST2
- C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\VST Plugins
On Mac that is located in MacHD/Library/Audio/Plug-ins.
You'll need to remove the "LABS.vst3", "LABS.vst", and "LABS.component" files from each of their respective folders.
Once those have been removed, restart your DAW to rescan plugins and you should find that the new LABS plugin now opens.
