The following steps will help to resolve the "Failed to load preset" error within the LABS plugin without redownloading all the libraries. Do not attempt these steps unless directed to do so.
This error can also be resolved by deleting all LABS libraries and redownloading them from within the new plugin. It will likely be easier to do this if you're having trouble with the steps below.
1. First you'll need to manually move files from your "Spitfire Audio - LABS" folder. To do so, open the folder and delete the "Patches" and "Preset" folders within. You can also safely delete the "Documents" folder if you wish.
2. Next, go into the "Samples" folder. Select all of the available folders here and move them into the location that you want LABS to be stored. In this case the storage location will be the same "Spitfire Audio - LABS" folder, so the samples will be moved into that location.
3. The next step is to set up the new folder structure. We are working on a function to do this within the plugin, but for right now it must be done manually if you want to avoid redownloading samples. To do so, copy the contents of each folder into a folder called "Samples".
4. Repeat the above process for each library, moving the samples into their own Samples folder. At the end you should have a main library folder (set as your content path as explained here) with a named "LABS ~library name~" folder for each already downloaded pack. Within that folder should be a folder called "Samples" that contains all of the files previously present.
5. Once that is complete, you can go into the LABS plugin and click Download. You can see below that the download is very quick, and the Patches and Presets folders are installed without the Samples folder being touched.
We do hope to simplify this process in the coming weeks, if you're having trouble with this please get in touch with us using the support widget in the bottom right corner.
